WHERE WILL MY MASSAGE THERAPY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Your massage therapy session will take place in a clean, comfortable, dimly lit, quiet room designed for your maximum comfort. The table is made for your comfort, and heated according to your preference. Peaceful music will be played to help you relax.
DO I NEED TO BE COMPLETELY UNDRESSED?
For maximum therapeutic benefit sometimes it is most beneficial for the client to be unclothed for the practitioner to be able to access muscular tissue; however, your comfort is a priority at Living Wellness Therapies. You will be asked to disrobe only to your level of comfort. You will always be properly draped during the entire session.
WILL THE PRACTITIONER BE PRESENT WHEN I DISROBE?
The practitioner will leave the room while you disrobe, get comfortable on the massage table, and cover yourself with the sheets and blankets that will remain on the table during the session.
WILL I BE COVERED DURING THE SESSION?
You will be properly covered during the entire session to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.
WHAT PARTS OF MY BODY WILL BE WORKED ON?
A typical relaxation, full-body massage therapy session will include work on your neck, shoulders, arms, hands, entire back, legs, and feet.
There may be times the hip area would be appropriate to work on; for example, if a client comes in with low back pain. Areas indicated to work on would be the entire back, hip area, and legs. This would be discussed before the session began, and the patient’s modesty would be carefully protected through consistent proper draping.
